BHS Strathclyde are proud to announce a lungeing demonstration evening with Sheila Thom, BHS Stage 5 Performance Coach in Complete Horsemanship.
This evening will cover the basics of lungeing, including:
• how to tack a horse up for lungeing
• the equipment required for lungeing
• how to lunge
• the use of side reins, and more.
There will be plenty of time for discussion and questions during this informal session. The evening shall be split into 3 sessions:
1: The less experienced lungeing horse - The basics of lungeing: getting started and dealing with common problems
2: The more experienced lungeing horse - Getting the most from lungeing: how to improve outline and suppleness
3: The rider on the lunge - Ridden exercises on the lunge, including tips to improve rider position, balance and core stability.
Booking is essential for this event
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
This evening is open to all at a cost of £8 per person, payable by cheque to BHS Strathclyde.
