Ride Out UK, 2026 Research, Tameside Riders

18 May 2017 18:00 - 21:00

Join BHS affiliated group, Tameside Riders, on 18 May for a 2026 research event. This event is useful for all walkers, cyclists and equestrians to research their routes and check they will be safe come 2026.

Regional Access Officer, Christine Peat will also give a presentation how to identify and register public rights of way which we use but which are not on the definitive map.

Sandwiches and maps will be provided and the bar will be open.

Costs and info:

Free for Tameside Rider members

£2 entrance for non-Tameside riders

6.15pm – 9pm

After 2026 it will not be possible to modify the map or formerly claim the routes we use and they will be lost to the public for ever. We must act now. The first part of this training will be spent identifying routes and marking up maps, followed by a talk by Chris. We need your local knowledge of the routes you ride, walk and cycle in order to save them!
