Eight lucky riders will be able to take the BHS Ride Safe Award Assessment free of charge this summer! BHS Lancashire is making eight bursaries available for local riders.
Any rider in Lancashire who is over the age of 11 years can apply for the Bursary.
BHS Lancashire will pay for the cost of the training with a professional Ride Safe Trainer and the cost of taking the Ride Safe Award assessment. It all takes place at Midgeland Riding School. You can either ride on your own horse or, if unable to do so, we will pay for the hire of a horse from Midgeland.
This new qualification is all about keeping you as the rider, and your horse, safe. Riding on roads, across open land and in other situations; as well as knowing how to negotiate hazards and obstacles, and handle conflict and difficult situations with others users.
