Come along to the BHS Derbyshire Review meeting and discover the life of a Mounted Police Officer at Ashover Parish Hall on Friday 9th October.
Alan Hiscox served 32 years in the British police; 26 in the Mounted Branch of the London Metropolitan Police. He has been a consultant to mounted divisions in many countries, including USA, Canada, South Africa and UAE and has delivered presentations and briefings about the strategic and tactical use of horses in the UK to Chief Police Officers of Canada, USA, Europe, Arabian States, Russia, Australia and Japan.
He was leader, and responsible for all aspects of the Metropolitan Police Display Ride, which appeared at major shows, including Horse of the Year Show and the Royal Tournament.
Alan has received many commendations including for his work designing, training and developing ‘Training the London Police Horse’ demonstrations. He was responsible for the national training plan for mounted officers and a training schedule for police horses, and organised and delivered the yearly training plan for 150 mounted police officers in London.
Tickets cost £10 per person including food which will be lasagne with salad and french bread. Tickets must be booked in advance.
