Caroline Moore FBHS will deliver a training day entitled 'The Event Coach' focusing on what makes an effective event coach.
This training day will take place at Vale View Equestrian Centre near Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire, will include classroom and practical sessions and will also count as an update CPD training day for BHS Accredited Professional Coaches but is also of general interest and everybody is welcome.
Classroom sessions will include coaching rider responsibility, simulated cross country and coaching at an event. Effective course walking and dealing with rider nerves and disappointment will also be discussed.
Practical sessions will concentrate on exercises to produce the modern event rider using flat and pole work, show jumping and cross country.
Caroline is a fellow of the BHS and has produced and ridden horses up to 4* level, competing at Badminton, Burghley, Bramham and Blenheim, as well as overseas. In 2007 she took part in the Olympic test event in Hong Kong on Don Giovanni.
Caroline who is the British Eventing National u18 Coach and Junior Team Coach, now focuses mainly on coaching riders and other coaches to improve their skills, with the main aim to develop confidence and belief by building correct foundations.
