The SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials

As the wonderful summer of equestrian competition continues you can catch up with your Society at a number of events including The SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials. Set in the magnificent grounds of Blenheim Palace, this world-class international equestrian event is a fantastic day out for family and friends.
Successful sporting events are constantly innovating to ensure they provide a fresh offering to participants and spectators and the SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials is no exception. With so much to do in addition to the showcase eventing classes, such as complimentary displays and demonstrations, competitions for grassroots riders, a fun ride and of course a plethora of shops, food outlets, bars and entertainments there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy.
This year they have introduced a new timetable to accommodate more international entries in both the CCI3* and the CIC3*, and to allow the CCI3* cross-country to start later – at 11am. Both horse inspections (12 and 16 September) will also take place in front of the spectacular backdrop of Blenheim Palace
In addition they have introduced a number of new classes including a Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) dressage championship which will take place on 13th September and an under 21 combined training, held at CCI2* level. They have also introduced a Sports Horse Breeding (GB) ridden stallion parade and RoR parade.
They’ve also helpfully a screening of the World Equestrian Games cross-country on 15 September. This will also include supper and a party enabling you to keep up to date on all the action.

Introduce a new member to support our incredible work and we will give you both a bottle of Foxdenton’s delicious Gin. Test your Ride Safe Skills with our Hobby Horse Hero’s or put Henry the mechanical horse through his paces in a lesson with one of our Accredited Professional Coaches. Or help us raise vital funds, by purchasing one of our limited edition Emma Bridgewater mugs or joining us on one of our course walks.
BHS on the move
The BHS On the Move lorry will also be out on the course at Fence 15 on Saturday and Sunday so why not take a break and pop in for a cup of tea? As well as a great vantage point for the course you will also have an opportunity to experience our new virtual reality film which raises awareness of the issues facing horse riders on Britain’s roads.
