About Us

Ackworth & District Riding Club was founded on 15 February 1980 by the President Mr Walker, to encourage high standards of horsemanship, including riding, welfare and enjoyment in the horse world. We have exclusive use of our club field near Nostell, where we hold training and social events as well as events from a number of local venues. We are part of the British Riding Clubs Area 4 which is one of the largest Areas in the country, covering most of North, East, & West Yorkshire. Find out more about Area 4 here.

New members are always welcome, whatever your interest and level of experience. Joining ADRC allows automatic membership to British Riding Clubs (BRC), which allows you access to a whole range of support and opportunities, including national competitions, qualifications and social events.
