2010 Rulebooks
Rulebooks and Official Stewards and Organisers Handbooks are all available to buy in the BHS Bookshop. A copy of the Rulebook will be available online in March. Training Handbooks are available free of charge, please email c.vandenbroek@bhs.org.uk
Online entries can now be received at BRC
All direct entry and Prelim entries with payment can now be taken via the BRC website. Please look under BRC competitions and then Entry Forms.
DTM & Quadrille – Aintree 9 and 10 October
The Quadrille and the Dressage to Music Championships will see a move to Aintree International Equestrian Centre. Based at Aintree Racecourse, this move will be a welcome change for those living north of the Midlands. The Quadrille will take place on the Saturday evening and there will be tables available for a ringside dinner. Further details on how to book tables will be published later in the year.
New Hunter Trials Competition
A new BRC Regional Hunter Trial Championship is being trialled for 2011. It will take place in the northern region which is areas 1, 2, 3, 4, 22 and 23. Qualifiers will be held at club level and existing club Hunter Trials can be used as qualifying competitions. Qualifiers can take place from 1 October 2010. The Championship will take place in the north of England in late Spring 2011. Rules for this competition will be in the 2010 rule book.
Exciting classes at The Festival of the Horse 2010
A Combined Competition was introduced in 2009 and due to it’s popularity, will be returning in 2010. NAF have donated a fabulous prize to the winner of both the Junior and Senior Combined Class in the form of a training bursary. This is to the value of one thousand pounds and will be specifically tailored to the lucky winners needs. Qualifiers are being run at area level this year as opposed to the previous direct entry of 2009.
We have many new Showing classes at the Festival of the Horse on 5 and 6 June (previously Festival of the Hunter). Please see below for a full list.

BRC & BHS Welfare Conference & BRC Equine Forum 2010
Due to the success of both of these events in 2009 they will be making a return for 2010, both will be taking place at Bishop Burton College in Yorkshire. The date for the Welfare Conference is 18 September and the Forum 30 October.
Rider magazine - It's Your Letters
This edition saw the launch of a letters page where BRC members can air their views on anything and everything. The star letter will recieve a fabulous set of Ariat boots and gaiters.
