The Woodside Conference Centre, Kenilworth played host to the SEIB BHS TREC Annual Awards during February.
Past Master David Snowden of the Worshipful Company of Saddlers presented the prizes, and rosettes were awarded from first to tenth for Novice Individual, Novice Pairs, Open Individual and Open Pairs.
The SEIB Novice Individual title was won by Jane Chivers with 59 points, while the Novice Pairs joint winners were Rachael Wilmot and Jan Oldham and Di Skippon and Ali Large. The Open Pairs title was taken by husband and wife combination Dave and Sheila Rogerson.
Open Individual title winner was Anna Weston and she was awarded a bespoke Endurance Combination bridle, donated by the Worshipful Company of Saddlers.
Horseware Ireland donated prizes from their Autumn/Winter range and these were presented to all competitors who finished first to third in the Novice Individual, Novice Pairs, Open Individual and Open Pairs leagues.
Vanessa Warren and Richard Curtis were formally recognised for their hard work and dedication, serving as judges and organisers at home and abroad. They received the J F Brammer Unsung Heroes Tankard.
This award is in its second year and was donated by the Brammer family in memory of their father, John Frederick Brammer, and in recognition of all the unsung heroes and volunteers who help at BHS TREC events throughout the country and without whom BHS TREC would not exist.
This year was the first in which sportsmanslike behaviour was recognised in the shape of the BHS TREC Sportsmanship Award. Julian Brown became the first winner for his assistance in helping riders at the BHS TREC Championship of Great Britain negotiate the soft ground and accompanying them to the next checkpoint, despite the fact that he incurred penalties for doing so.
Eleanor Barnard was awarded a £100 training bursary for being the highest placed Young Rider in the Open Individual league.
