We have great opportunity based at our Shuttleworth campus for a Technician in Equine to become a key member of our Animal Sciences department. As a Technician in Equine, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

  • Contributing to the day to day running of the Equine Unit
  • Participating in the care of horses to include all routine husbandry duties
  • Supervising students undertaking routine yard duties

Our ideal candidates will have relevant current vocational experience in the equine sector and experience of caring for a number of horses in a range of different settings alongside the following qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Horse Management
  • British Horse Society Stage 3 or equivalent
  • English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent

Contract Type –Bedford College Professional Services Ltd (BCPS Ltd)

40 hours per week (1.0 FTE) / 52 weeks per year £17,124

per annum, pro rata dependent on qualifications and experience

25 days holiday per annum, pro rata
