Bransby Horses has more than 400 horses, ponies, donkeys and mules to meet and with a full calendar of events throughout the year, including adoption days and pony grooming, there is something for everyone at our Visitor Centre. The beautiful 600 acre site has endless walkways for visitors to explore, a café, gift shop, and exhibition, play park and picnic area.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced rider/ trainer who has proven experience of ground work, longlining, backing and riding away a range of horses and ponies. Our equines can come from challenging or unknown backgrounds so experience of a range of empathetic training methods and problem solving skills are essential.
You will work as part of a small team to cover the routine care and training of around 30 equines. Development and support to our intermediate and novice trainers is required so excellent communication and mentoring skills are required.
The majority of the equines you will be training and riding will range from 13hh – 14hh. The successful candidate must be physically able and confident to work this size of equine.
This role is temporary for up to 12 months whilst the substantive postholder is on maternity leave.

The salary is £10.93 per hour and comes with an attractive benefits package.
The hours of work are 37.5 per week.
