Sue Round

I am a BHS Level 4 Senior Coach and Stable Manager. I also gained my Level 5 Coaching which I took through Northumbria University.

I have had a varied career working abroad for many years; this is where I gained a great deal of my experience. I have lectured at Northumberland College and worked as an apprenticeship assessor for Haddon training. I now run a livery and coaching business, and also have a small riding school section with experienced horses that cater to riders focusing on improving their skills.

My passion is to help people understand their horse in order to develop a strong and positive relationship. My approach encompasses all aspects of horsemanship to promote the physical and mental wellbeing of the horse, and so giving the best opportunity for success.

I coach all types of horse and rider regardless of level, and teach both on and off site.
I coach a wide variety of people, from competitors wanting to build stamina and suppleness in their horses or to vary their horses routine. Some of my clients are working on mindset and confidence after accidents or injuries and some want to get out competing but need the support to do so.

I like to focus on understanding the horse human partnership I know order to promote rideability, while maintaining a sense of fun.
