The British Horse Society and The Open Spaces Society have joined forces to hold Restoring the Record training courses.
The aim of the training events is to enthuse, enable and empower rights of way researchers to make definitive map modification order applications to ensure routes that would be extinguished in 2026 are saved from the cut off date.
Learn how to identify historical routes and the key resources used to study them from two acknowledged experts in the field, Sarah Bucks and Dr Phil Wadey, co-authors of 'Rights of Way Restoring the Record'. Find out what your evidence can unlock and how to create a systematic research method to investigate your routes.
The day is free to attend and includes tea/coffee but bring along a packed lunch.
Delegates should bring a laptop (wi-fi provided) - tablets or smartphones may not be suitable for some training exercises - and OS maps of your local area.
