Warwickshire Bridleway Accessible Once Again

20 Sept 2017

Categories:

Opening of bwayAfter five years of closure a bridleway near Priors Hardwick in Warwickshire has been re-opened following positive action between BHS Access volunteer, Mary Stephens, and the Access Department at Warwickshire County Council.  Over several years the hedges at both ends of the bridleway, shown as SM114 on the County Definitive Map, had gradually grown over making it inaccessible to any user.

Working in conjunction with Warwickshire County Council the access points were cleared and new way-markers were installed. “I’m delighted to see this route re-opened,” said Mary. “It now enables local riders to once again enjoy a bridleway that has long been out of use.”

Thank you Mary and Warwickshire County Council
