Telford and Wrekin Council dedicate routes on council owned land

29 May 2015

Telford and Wrekin Council have just dedicated a whole raft of new bridleways in and around Town Park, a large and wooded area right in the centre of Telford.  Close liaison with local riders resulted in a massive overhaul of all of the routes in Town Park, with new horse stiles, clear signage and interpretation panels at key points.

Anthony Francis-Jones, Chairman of Telford Bridleways Association comments, “This is the greatest birthday present any rider could have hoped for.  We now have open access for riders in a beautiful green space in the heart of Telford with trails that lead down to the historic Iron Bridge.”  None of this could have been achieved without the dedication of local riders and the support of Telford and Wrekin Council.
