Dates are confirmed for three Horse Owner's Certificate courses in September and October, all held in Radford Semele, nr Leamington Spa.
The Horse Owner's Certificates are offered at four levels of knowledge with regard to the care and management of the horse. Although primarily aimed at the first time horse owner, parents of horse owners or potential owners, they are available to anyone interested in the care and welfare of horses.
A Level 1 course will take place on Wednesday evenings for six weeks, from 4 September.
A Level 3 course will take place on Wednesday evenings for eight weeks from 16 October.
A Level 4 course will take place on the weekend of 12-13 October.
The courses will be led by Sharon Smtih, BHSAI, UKCC Level 2. Sharon, a member of the BHS Warwickshire Committee, reports that the seven courses she has already run in 2013 have all produced excellent results and pass rates.
"All the students worked very hard and I was impressed with their keenness to learn and keep up to date," she said. "Well done to them all.
"These courses attract a wide variety of students, including total beginners and people who have had horses all their lives. All ages are welcome - my youngest student to date was just 10 years old!"
The weekend courses are especially suitable for people who live further away and would find it difficult to travel to Leamington in the evening.
