The Countryside Access Team at Hampshire County Council to establish Rights of Way volunteers

1 Nov 2016

The Countryside Access Team at Hampshire County Council is looking to establish a network of Rights of Way volunteers who would be willing to join in occasional working parties to help inspect paths, clear bridleways, build ditch crossings and generally help the team to maintain equestrian routes. T

he Countryside Access Team would organise and lead tasks as well as providing necessary tools, equipment and guidance.

As an initial trial it is proposed to arrange a clearing party for a bridleway which has become very overgrown and restricted at Oakley, just outside Basingstoke. The proposed task is scheduled for Thursday 3 November from 10am until around 12.30pm. Refreshments will be provided!

If you would be willing to come along and give a hand please contact Emma Broadbent for further details and precise information regarding the meeting point.

If you would be willing to help on a future date or a different location in Hampshire please do contact Emma with your name, contact details and area so that she can keep you informed of future events!
