Portsmouth City Council ROW Improvement Plan

19 Dec 2017

Categories:

Portsmouth City Council's ROW Improvement Plan runs up to 2017 and is currently being revised by the Council.

As part of this process the Council's Senior Active Travel Officer ( Nick Scott) is undertaking a review of the existing rights of way and gathering information from stakeholders and interested parties as to how the network can be improved to meet the needs of the city now and in the future.

In this respect Nick has proposed three questions:

  • What are the main barriers relating to the existing rights of way network in Portsmouth?
  • What are the main opportunities in relation to the rights of way network in Portsmouth ?
  • What do you see as the top three priorities in relation to the rights of way network in Portsmouth?

The Council has had responses from most interested groups - but not yet from equestrians.

The Society will be submitting a response, but please help to make the 'equestrian voice' heard by sending your response to these three questions, and any further comments you want to make in respect of equestrian access, to Nick Scott copying in the BHS Access and Rights of Way and Gill Plumbley

Any responses need to be submitted by the end of January 2018
