Rider campaigns for safer crossing in South Buckinghamshire

18 Aug 2014

A concerned rider from Buckinghamshire is petitioning the County Council to create a safe crossing over the A412 between Langley Park and Black Park (in the corner between the M40 to the north and the M25 to the east).

Cara Haig says "I'm lucky enough to have Langley and Black Parks on my doorstep and they are stunning. However to cross between the two is an absolute nightmare, a dual carriageway!" Cara feels that the visibility to cross is poor, and that heavy traffic flow means crossing the whole road in one go is usually impossible, whilst the central reservation is tiny and a dangerous place to wait.

Cara's petition asks Buckinghamshire County Council to provide a safe crossing for all park users, including equestrians. You can view the petition online at: https://democracy.buckscc.gov.uk/mgEPetitionDisplay.aspx?ID=923
