Presentation to BHS 13000th memberLittle did Helen Thompson know, that when she joined The British Horse Society with her two daughters Jessica and Rebekah, she would become the 13,000th person to join the BHS in the South West Region.

Regional Chairman Jennifer Ham and Chairman of the BHS Wiltshire committee Graham Bennet visited Helen at the yard where she, Jessica and Rebekah keep their horses to present Helen with her certificate.

Regional Manager Julie Garbutt said, "It has now become a bit of a tradition to mark when we reach another thousandth membership milestone in the South West Region. It wasn't so very long ago that we were delighted to have achieved 10,000 members in the region, and now here we are at 13,000 and still growing strong. Helen told us she joined the Society for the peace of mind the insurance benefits had to offer, but since joining has realised that the Society does so much more."

If anyone is interested in joining the BHS, full details can be found on our website.
