Do you know a very special horse?

Scindles the horseFour years ago a beautiful new trophy of a horse’s head in bronze was presented to the ‘BHS Scotland Equine Personality of the Year’ and currently BHS Scotland is seeking nominations for 2012. The Tarragon is Trophy named in honour of the first winner, Fiona Busby’s Prix St George Connemara Pony ‘Tarragon’, who was orphaned by grass sickness and who has gone on to provide years of pleasure to the Busby family.

Anyone can nominate any horse and all you need to do is write 250 words explaining why the horse or pony is a great character or what the subject does for others or an illustration of an equine overcoming great hardship.

Nominations for the 2012 winner should be sent to: BHS Scotland Chairman, Mrs Loraine Young, Carsegowniemuir, Aberlemno, Forfar, DD8 3PB or emailed to and should be received by the end of January 2013.  The award will be formally presented at a BHS Scotland event in 2013.
