BHS Cumbria is flourishing, with almost 100 new members joining us in the last twelve months.
However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are about to lose our Chairman Adele Mcloughlin. Adele has overseen the remarkable growth of BHS membership in the County and we are very sad indeed to see her go.
We are also in need of a Membership Secretary to help provide the all important link between members and the committee.
If you feel you would enjoy the challenge of either of these roles - which help address issues which matter to all of the equestrian community in the Cumbria area, then do please contact Wendy.
Carole Hodgson, our Mapping Officer for Cumbria, is also looking for assistance. We would like to hear from any individuals keen to help record yards and businesses with equestrian connections. It is hoped that by mapping the location of horses and ponies in the County, we would have useful information to help us with a number of issues, including highlighting the need for developing the off-road riding network in key areas, through to communicating quickly in the event of a disease outbreak.
