County Durham boasts a thriving British Horse Society membership which helps provide funds to support the essential work in Access and Bridleways, Road Safety and Horse Welfare in particular.
County Chairman Carole Swinburn recently had the pleasure of making a milestone presentation to the 900th member to be recruited in the County.
Tracy Cooke from Sunderland was the lucky recipient of a bottle of champagne and a supersize rosette to celebrate the occasion. “I have started riding again after a long break and felt it important to support a good cause,” said Tracy. “The added benefit of Public Liability Insurance cover gives me peace of mind, too”, she added.
