Surrey Dressage Competition

21 Apr 2013

The British Horse Society Surrey Committee held its bi-annual unaffiliated dressage competition at the new venue of Royal Alexandra and Albert School, Reigate for the first time.

The event was a huge success, at this pristine venue boasting a new 40x50 metre outdoor arena, commanding views over the Capability Brown landscaped grounds of Gatton Park. The sun smiled on us, and all who turned out to support this BHS fundraising event had a wonderful day.

Ceandice Davison riding Jammie Dodger (one of Royal Alexandra and Albert School’s horses) took first place in the Walk and Trot, and Romi Costantini won the Prelim Test riding Shamrock (pictured below).

Photographer Jemma Rylah captured some amazing shots of the action (available at jemmarylah.com (opens in new window)), including these stunning images of some of the champions of the day.

The second in the Surrey Committee’s dressage competitions of this year, will also take place at this venue during October, so be sure to get your entries in early for a chance to soak up the environment, compete at a wonderful show ground and show your support for your local BHS Committee.
