17 riders and their horses took part in the annual pub and trot
The ride, promoted by The British Horse Society, encourages riders to explore the rights of way that the UK has to offer. The riders once again returned to the beautiful horse friendly Hook and Hatchet pub.
The new owners Alan and Sharon Bishop gave the riders a wonderful starting place to safely park and tack up. Then two groups of riders set off, some chose a quieter ride, whilst the other was longer and more challenging. The riders used the local trot riders which are set over grass fields with views over the Medway and Thames estuaries.
A hearty lunch greeted the riders on their return and as the last horses were boxed up, they had managed to escape a thunder storm. Our thanks go to Allan and Sharon, Evelyn from the Trot office and The Hucking estate for all their help in allowing the day to take place
