Mother of equestrian dynasty honoured with London exhibition

20 Nov 2013

Anne Bullen, founder of Catherston Stud and mother of six leading equestrian figures including BHS Fellow Jennie Loriston-Clarke, is to have her iconic artwork displayed to mark the 50th anniversary of her death.

Following the enormous success of their 2012 show, London’s Osborne Studio Gallery will today open a second exhibition dedicated to the noted illustrator.

Having illustrated over 40 children’s pony books, including three of her own and titles by the Pullein-Thompson sisters and Monica Dickens, Anne’s artwork and romantic style are fondly remembered by many.

The exhibition runs until Sunday 15 December. Examples of the works included in the 2012 show can be seen on the gallery’s website.
