BHS North and West Kent Dressage for Access 2014

4 Nov 2014

A full house, of  47 tests, were ridden at Arran Bank Stables, Bredhurst on 26th October, on a fine if chilly day.We were delighted to be able to split the Intro and Prelim 12 Classes,  as a number of youngsters under 16 had entered. Thus, with six, £70 BHS Training Bursaries to award, one was given in each section/class. The Judge decided which partnership she thought would most benefit from a Bursary, from each group before her.

Well done to: Leo Mulroney and Fairy, Leonie Hunter and Babylon Galaxy, Henry Foulds-Brant and Merlin, Amanda  Zygmant and Dark Secret,Rebecca Rivett and Tinker and Maria Waller and Goodstone Jo.

In addition, highest placed BHS Member rosettes, Pony Rider Association Rosettes (for highest placed adults competing on ponies up to 15hh), and highest placed horse/rider age combination of over 50 years rosettes, were awarded in each section/class.

The day ended with the presentation of the Lynn Halbert Memorial Rosebowl, sash and £35 Training Bursary,  to Longhrea  Princess and Emma Bradley. This is awarded to the best condition/turnout partnership of the day.

Our grateful thanks must go to Deana Foulds for allowing our use of Arran Bank Stables, and our Judge and Helpers, without whom, the competition could not be run.

The day raised £315 for BHS Access funds.
