On Monday 26 May we hosted the First BHS organised hack at Britton Farm, near Canterbury.
Six explorers set off through the rain on a 12-mile route that took them through woods, farms and villages in the countryside surrounding Wingham and Adisham.
Riders joined us from nearby Deal and from further afield in Ashford and our local Ride Leader Pauline took them around at an easy walk and trot. Thankfully soon after setting off the rain stopped and the sun came out so we could all see the local landscape at its best.
The ride was a very relaxed affair with plenty of time to chat and take in the scenery and after the horses were provided with a snack of their own we took time to reflect over a cup of coffee and some cake.
Such a good time was had by everyone that all the riders went away with the intention of hosting their own hacks in the near future.
