The weather could not have been better for our first summer solstice ride on 21 June 2014. We had a fantastic turn out of 35 riders, who enjoyed the 13 mile route and lunch stop at the John Bunyan Pub.
The event, in association with North Mymms Riding Club, has currently raised £115.50 for Lucky Charms Equine and Community Therapy Centre and £82.42 for The Equine Grass Sickness Fund, with money still coming in.
Special thanks go to Jan Dickinson and the West End Farm liveries for letting us use their field for parking, Ian Sapstead for organising Raynet and Herts 4x4 who were fantastic marshalling and stewarding along the route all day, Jason Grocock and Matt West for car parking duties and the John Bunyan Pub for letting the horses use the whole of their beer garden!
Hopefully we can run the event again next year.
