On 4 May Two Geldings turned up to Stapleford Polling Station

9 May 2017

Concerned about the talk of the "Election of a Mare for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough", these two Geldings turned up to the Polling Station to make sure their Riders’ views were heard!

Lynda Warth, BHS Cambridgeshire County Access and Bridleways Officer commented; ‘we are delighted that our lobbying for inclusion of equestrian access on the Greenways routes  proposed by Cambridge City Deal has resulted in Cllr Francis Burkitt announcing that the routes will be for all NMU’s (non motorised users) providing safe access for pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders. It’s important that Councillors and the new Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Mayor are aware of the need for improved multi user access.’
