With a lot of work done behind the scenes before, on the day and after, this event took place at a beautiful venue with brilliant tracks and bridleways around the Whitwell, Hitchin area. Everybody enjoyed the idea of the day, which was in easy reach of all.
It was a shame that there was a real downpour in the middle of the day and a few competitors had to go home as they were so wet! Unfortunately, this made the rest of the day run a little late but everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
A big thank you goes to Mr and Mrs Tim Roberts for the venue, Mr Robin Drummond who was on call over night, somehow was a double check point (no mean feat) and running around after many people!
This was the first event of this kind that Jocelyn Drummond and Jill Perry have organised together. It takes a lot of effort and time to run TREC events such as this but it makes it all the more fun for all including the organisers on the day.
