The Nottinghamshire (area 6) definitive map and statement

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (TUXFORD BRIDLEWAY NO. 8 AND BRIDLEWAY NO.12 AND WEST MARKHAM FOOTPATH NOS. 8 AND 9, BRIDLEWAY NO.10 AND NO. 7 (PART) AND BRIDLEWAY NOS. 11 AND 12) 

MODIFICATION ORDER 2005

On the 19th July 2016 the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above Order made under Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the above Area by adding/upgrading the rights of way set down in the schedule below and as shown on the Order Map.

A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order Map may be seen free of charge at my Office at the address below between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive, and at the offices of Bassetlaw District Council, Queens Buildings, Potter Street, Worksop, Notts and also at Tuxford Public Library, Lincoln Road, Tuxford, Newark, Notts during the respective normal opening hours until the 27th October 2016.  Copies of the Order and Map may be purchased from my Office at the address below at a cost of £5 per copy.

The Order came into force on the 19 July 2016 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or any provisions contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 or on the grounds of any requirement of the Act or of any regulations made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act, within 6 weeks from the 15th September 2016 make an application to the High Court.  

Rights of way to be added:

Tuxford Bridleway No.12, commencing from a point, SK72407135, on Bevercotes Road adjacent to South Hills Farm and proceeding for a distance of approximately 400 metres in a westerly direction to a point, SK72007138, at the junction with West Markham Bridleway No. 11

West Markham Footpath No. 8, commencing from a point, SK70797231, at the junction with the C87 Milton to Walesby Road and proceeding for a distance of approximately 850 metres in a generally south-easterly then southerly direction to a point, SK70857157, at the junction with West Markham Bridleway No. 11

West Markham Footpath No. 9 commencing from a point, SK70857155, at the junction with West Markham Bridleway No. 11 and proceeding for a distance of approximately 890 metres in a south-south-westerly then south-south-easterly direction to a point, SK70927073, at the junction with West Markham Bridleway No. 10

West Markham Bridleway No. 10 commencing from a point. SK71387147, at the junction with West Markham Bridleway No. 11 and proceeding for a distance of approximately 1,340 metres in a generally south-south-westerly direction to a point, SK70707033, at the junction with the remainder of West Markham Bridleway No. 10

West Markham Bridleway No. 11 commencing from a point, SK72007138, at the junction with Tuxford Bridleway No. 12 and proceeding for a distance of approximately 1,810 metres in a generally westerly, north-north-westerly and finally west-south-westerly direction to a point, SK70447190, at the junction with the C87 Milton to Walesby road.

West Markham Bridleway No. 12 commencing from a point, SK71377153, at the junction with West Markham Bridleway No. 11 and proceeding for a distance of approximately 1,130 metres in a generally north-easterly direction to a point, SK71997245, at the junction with Bacon Lane

Rights of Way to be upgraded:

Tuxford Bridleway No. 8 commencing from a point, SK70707033, at the junction with West Markham Bridleway No. 7 (part) and proceeding for a distance of approximately 310 metres in a south-south-westerly direction to a point, SK70657001, at the junction with Ollerton Road

West Markham Bridleway No. 7 (part) commencing from a  point, SK70707033, at the junction with West Markham Bridleway No. 10 and proceeding for a distance of approximately 1.5 metres in a south-south-westerly direction to a point, SK70707033, at the junction with Tuxford Bridleway No. 8
