The British Horse Society (BHS) is delighted to have been chosen as Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials’ ‘Charity of the Year’ for 2016.
Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials takes place from 8-11 September 2016. The online E-ticketing Box Office is now open and tickets can be booked via the Blenheim website. If you use the promo code BHS2016, £1 will be donated to the BHS from each booking.
As the largest equestrian charity in the UK, The British Horse Society works day in, day out, tackling issues such as equine welfare, protecting access rights in the countryside, safety for horse and rider, and delivering the very best in education.
The Society’s thriving and active community of staff and volunteers is committed to improving the lives of horses everywhere.
The funds raised at this year’s event will go towards the charity’s Helping Horses campaign – an appeal to support the vital work of the BHS welfare team.
- Responding to reports of horses in distress or welfare concerns
- Delivering training programmes for BHS welfare officers
- Promoting responsible breeding and delivering castration clinics
- Fighting and lobbying for horses ‘rights’
- Operating the ‘Friends at the End’ service that ensures that no horse owner has to face the loss of their equine companion alone
The British Horse Society, said: “We are honoured to be nominated as ‘Charity of the Year’. Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials is such a fabulous event for the equestrian community and we are thrilled to have this opportunity to share our work with such a passionate audience.”
The BHS team is busy organising a variety of activities and displays that will take place across the four days, including training demonstrations from some of the Society’s leading riders and coaches, an interactive learning zone, great membership offers and the opportunity to ride Henry the mechanical horse!
