The British Horse Society campaigns for the creation of new off-road routes and we work to keep these routes available for riders and carriage drivers to do. Our roads are becoming increasingly dangerous, so safe places for riders to ride are vital. Unfortunately, riders have access to just 22% of the rights of way network, whilst carriage drivers can only access 5%. Therefore, we welcome any proposals that increase off-road access for horse and rider.
