The British Horse Society is currently recruiting a number of trustees to shape the future of the Society.
Nominees are required to be over 18 years of age, be voting members of the BHS for three years, and have sufficient professional experience that they can apply to decision-making processes.
We are specifically looking to elect individuals with specialisms which complement those of our existing trustees, who have expertise in Access, Safety and Education. Our priorities for the 2016 trustee elections are: British Riding Clubs; Education; Fundraising; Welfare; Finance.
A vibrant, well-qualified Board is vital to the success of The British Horse Society. This offers the chance to members to use their professional and personal skills to lead and govern The British Horse Society as a trustee. Alongside your fellow trustees, they will help to develop the Society for the benefit of our members and the wider equestrian community.
Our trustees devote their time and experience to the Society by attending and preparing for board meetings and away days, supporting the executive team with good governance and representing the Society at events and on committees.
You can find full details, including role descriptions, the nomination process and important dates on our dedicated election page.
