Ride Safe Training Course at Washington Riding Centre

"Ride Safe provides a foundation for any rider to be safe and knowledgeable when riding in all environments including on the road, along bridleways at the beach and warming up at competitions. It is highly recommended for all riders (min. age 11 years old) from occasional riders to elite equestrians and is an essential component of the new BHS Equine Excellence Pathway. While providing a friendly and supportive environment to learn in, the Ride Safe Award works to keep you and your horse safe and could even save your lives"

Training sessions consist of five two hour sessions (6.00-8.00 pm)

  • Friday 22 March
  • Friday 29 March
  • Friday 5 April
  • Friday 12 April
  • Friday 19 April

The assessment will take place on Friday 26 April commencing at 1.00pm – 4.00pm (approx.)

Total Training and horse hire cost: £125.00
£50.00 deposit is required to secure a place on the course and the remaining balance to be paid at the first session.

N.B. Assessment application fee is £95.00 Paid to the BHS, this includes:

  • Your Ride Safe Assessment
  • Your Personal Ride Safe Guide to support your training
  • Your Hi-Viz Tabard
  • Your Horse Hire for the assessment day
  • Professional Support and Guidance on the assessment day
