Please join BHS Berkshire and Hall Place Equine Veterinary Services for one of our two free, informal and informative evenings on equine euthanasia, the BHS Friends At The End support scheme and handling bereavement.
Antony Collins BVSc MRCVS, from Hall Place Equine Vets, will explain all about equine euthanasia, from making the decision, to the options available for the euthanasia itself and the practical considerations for disposal or cremation. A BHS adviser will then explain all about the free Friends At The End support service the charity offers, where trained volunteers will help owners through the euthanasia process from acting as a sounding board in decision-making to holding the horse on the day.
We’ll also discuss bereavement and grief, how to cope and, vitally, how to help friends and fellow horse owners through an inevitably very sad time.
