On 19 February BHS Scotland in conjunction with the SRUC at Oatridge and the Scottish National Equestrian Centre (SNEC) will hold a standard setting day (examination preparation) at SNEC focusing on the BHS Stage 1 and 2 examinations.
The day will provide an explanation of what is expected at these stages; Stage 1 (can be sat from 14 years of age) being the first step in the career ladder offering basic knowledge of horse care and riding including work without stirrups and over poles. Stage 2 (candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age) showing progression to being able to work with minimum supervision and introducing show jumping.
This day will be presented by Sandra Morrison BHSI and chief examiner – everyone who is interested is invited to attend!
