This training course will be of benefit to all those who wish to sit the BHS Preliminary Teaching Test or wish to train candidates to take it. The syllabus for the PTT exam has recently changed – this day will explain all.

Lunging is a vital part of training and developing horses and is an important part of the BHS PTT, Stage 2 and 3 exams. The lunging section is regularly a problem for candidates within the BHS exam system.  This day will demonstrate acceptable lunging techniques. Please note that pre-booking is essential.

For more information please contact Susan Spratt, BHS Director for Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.

This qualification will provide you with the competencies to apply the basic principles of coaching, to improve the rider’s horsemanship skills, following a progressive plan. You will understand the health and safety procedures involved in organising a lesson or hack in the open or on the roads.
