We have a legal* and moral duty of care to protect all children and young adults involved in horse activities. We run Safeguarding and Protecting Children courses regularly at venues around the UK.
The BHS Safeguarding and Protecting Children course outlines the roles and the responsibilities that we and other BEF member organisations have in our duty of care towards young people, and includes guidelines on protecting young people and promoting good practice within the Equine Industry. This course is valid for three years. When this period expires, you will need to do an online update. The course is suitable for those wishing to take BHS Examinations, join as a BHS Accredited Professional and complete the UK Coaching Certificates.
*Children’s Act 1989
Please note: entry for all courses closes five days before the course is due to take place. Please ensure you have booked well in advance of the date to avoid disappointment.
