Intermediate Instructor Qualifications Training

We continually assess the training needs of our members, and seek to deliver quality training to those aiming to complete BHS examinations.

The BHSII (British Horse Society Intermediate Instructor) training courses are designed for anyone considering taking their Stage 4 Riding, Stage 4 Horse Knowledge and Care and/or the Intermediate Teaching Test.

This course is designed for students preparing for the BHS Intermediate Teaching Test examination and will cover the planning and delivery of a lesson, teaching riding, fence jumping, lunging, equitation theory and business and yard management.

Full-day instances of this course that are organised by BHS Development Officers or Nation Directors also count as a Continual Professional Development (CPD) for those on the BHS Register of Instructors. Please note that no half-day courses count as CPD.
