Shibden and District Bridleways Association

Shibden and District Bridleways Association was formed in 1986 with the aim of improving, maintaining and preserving the Rights of Way network, predominantly in the Calderdale area. We hold fundraising events, such as treasure hunts, quizzes and talks, as well as working to make sure our bridleways are usable and accessible for all. We work with the local Rights of Way Department to reolve problems and also hold working parties to clear overgrowth. Our network of members regularly check the routes in their area to monitor for any problems. We are also working on research to open up blocked routes that we believe should be bridleways and if anyone as an interest in research, we welcome their input. Our members receive six newsletters a year so that they can keep up-to-date with their local access news.
