BHS Register of Instructors and Register of Grooms
The British Horse Society Register of Instructors and Register of Grooms have been setup to benefit both qualified instructors and grooms and the general public. There is an increasing number of unqualified people who are professing to hold BHS qualifications and the publication of these registers will help the general public seeking an instructor or groom to find one with guaranteed qualifications.
By publishing the information it will also highlight those instructors and grooms who have strived to complete and attain their qualifications and are proud of their achievements, as are the BHS. The BHS strongly urge the general public not to use an unregistered instructor or groom.
Your membership of the BHS Register of Instructors or Register of Grooms is important to us as it also continues to help us promote horse welfare through education. When you join the register, you join a credible list of professionally qualified instructors or grooms who have gained internationally recognised qualifications.
In return for your support here is just a selection of what we are able to offer you in return:
• Optional Public Liability insurance
• Free inclusion on the BHS website
• Free ID cards
• Free confirmation of qualifications to customers
• Free publicity in British Horse magazine, the Equestrian press and other BHS mailings
• Discounted fees on some BHS training courses
• Free instructors and grooms newsletter (3 times a year)
• Option to offer Horse Owner certificates
• Option to purchase an international passport
• A voice on BHS advisory groups and the BHS board through their representative
