BHS Challenge Rides in aid of BHS Welfare
The year 2000 saw the launch of the first British Horse Society Fundraising Riding Challenge, the ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ Riding Challenge. Since then, our Challenges have gone from strength to strength and the BHS now runs Challenges in India, Iceland, Inner Mongolia, Jordan and Peru – each offering a unique riding and travel experience.
During the last nine years, hundreds of riders have successfully completed BHS Challenge Rides. As well as enjoying the experience of a lifetime, every one of these riders has raised money that is vital in funding the welfare work of the BHS. Without our intrepid Challengers, we would not be able to run our nationwide network of more than 180 welfare officers (more than any other equine charity) or achieve anywhere near as much as we do to improve the lives of countless horses, ponies and donkeys.
So, if you are looking for a new challenge and want to do something to show your support for British horses, saddle up and enjoy a life-changing experience. This really does put the fun in Fundraising!
The information supplied in this section will give you plenty of information about just what is involved in a Challenge Ride, but if you would like to know more or have any questions, then do not hesitate to contact Wendy Minor, our Challenge Ride Organiser, on 01926 707806 or w.minor@bhs.org.uk
