President’s Ambassadors Scheme

Join me in helping recruit more members for The British Horse Society.
I am President of The British Horse Society because I believe I can play a part in building a truly vibrant organisation with real influence throughout the equestrian world. So can you.
The BHS has over 102,000 members and we depend upon their commitment and energy to carry out our vital work. But this figure is just a tiny percentage of those millions of people who regularly ride. I am absolutely certain that many more people would join the BHS if they knew more about the benefits of membership and fully understood the breadth of work which is currently undertaken.
Just imagine how much more influential the BHS could be in terms of promoting equine welfare, raising equestrian standards, improving access to the countryside and strengthening dialogue with Government if our membership was numbered in hundreds of thousands. This is not an impossible dream, its actually achievable, but only with your help.
If you share my ambition for our Society please accept my invitation to become a President’s Ambassador and assist me in recruiting new members. In recognition of your commitment your name will be included on the list of President’s Ambassadors here on the BHS website and you will be sent a certificate confirming your new role. President’s Ambassadors are expected to not only ‘spread the word’ about the activities of the Society but also recruit new members.
Earlier this year at Hickstead some of the top recruiting President's Ambassadors were my guests at a champagne reception and luncheon at the prestigious British Horse Society Royal International Horse Show. This year top recruiters will receive other invitations and incentives.
If just 20% of BHS members took up this invitation to become President’s Ambassadors and each introduced just 20 new members over the coming year we would be almost a quarter of a million strong and capable of achieving enormous benefits for every horse and rider in Great Britain.
If you are a BHS Member and would like to find out more on becoming an Ambassador, please email me on desi.dillingham@bhs.org.uk
